The profhilo treatment is ideal if you have lax, crepey, thin, sun-damaged skin on your face, neck, décolleté, arms and hands. Profhilo can significantly improve your skins hydration and firmness whilst remodelling your ageing skin.

Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo® stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin. As a stabilised product, the activity on dermal cells will last longer than that of a non-stabilised gel. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid.

Profhilo® is not a dermal filler, it is different from all other injectable substances as it has been engineered for “skin bio remodelling”. It is biocompatible because it is composed of highly pure grade hyaluronic acid produced by bio fermentation. This treatment enables effective production of both your natural collagen and also your elastin which enables your skin to renew successfully, from within, resulting in significant tightening / lifting effects. Due to its intensively high purity and the absence of additives, Profhilo® offers greater safety and therefore reduced side effects.

For the face, we use the BAP technique with 5 injection sites on each side of the face to maximise the diffusion of the hyaluronic acid.

Does it hurt?
You may feel a slight pinching or burning sensation when the injections are administered. However, a topical anesthetic cream can be used to make the treatment virtually painless.

How many treatments do I need and when will I see results?
It is recommended to have 2 sessions (one month apart) to achieve the maximum results. However, if the skin problems are severe, the third session could be done 2 months after the second session. In order to maintain the results, one treatment session is advised every 6 months. Results are usually seen 2-3 weeks after the first session.

Are there any side effects?
There are some injection related reactions which may occur after any injection; they typically resolve spontaneously within a few days. These reactions include redness, swelling, pain, itching, bruising or tenderness at the injection site.

What is the difference between Dermal Fillers and Profhilo®?
Dermal filler is injected to enhance a specific area such as the lips and cheeks, and it does not typically migrate to the surrounding skin. Profhilo® works very differently because it is made of 100% hyaluronic acid, while dermal fillers have other components. Because it is made of a completely natural skin substance, it blends into the skin seamlessly and distributes itself evenly. Due to its intensively high purity and the absence of additives, Profhilo® offers greater safety and therefore reduced side effects.
